This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as a Target Devices Repairer with the DPTMS Training Division, Small Arms Ranges at Fort Riley, KS.
What You'll Do
- →Fabricate and repair metal, wooden, and cardboard targets.
- →Inspect, test, service, adjust, align, calibrate, install, repair, replace, recondition, troubleshoot, field test and shop test target mechanisms and hit sensor devices.
- →Fabricate and repair electrical power/data cables, hit sensor cable assemblies, hard-wire target control power distribution/switch devices, etc.
- →Perform routine flatwork welding repairs to metal mechanical target mounting devices.
