THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1293000 and is part of the KY MATES, National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR-TITLE 32, WS-5801-12, you will plan use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials.
- →Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on work schedules, methods, and policies.
- →Coordinate work with other supervisors.
- →Assign tasks based on readiness and explain work requirements, methods, and procedures.
- →Investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and implements corrective actions.
- →Plan and establish leave schedules.
- →Determine training needs of subordinates and arrange for accomplishment.
- →Set performance standards, and make formal appraisals of subordinate work performance.
- →Perform the non-supervisory work of the function, as needed.
- →Ensure employee compliance with standing operating procedures established for the activity.
- →Ensure use of quality conformant products through compliance with established materials shelf life programs.
- →Ensure all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, facility and vehicle key control, property accountability, access control and employee protection in accordance with established policies and regulations.
- →Ensure established procedures to account for all property and equipment in accordance with regulations and policies.
- →Ensure employees wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.
Requirements
- ✓Military Grades: SPC(E4)-WO1(W1) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
- ✓You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
- ✓Wear of the military uniform.
- ✓Position may require a pre-employment physical.
- ✓May be subject to furlough actions.
- ✓May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- ✓Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- ✓Must obtain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
- ✓Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
- ✓Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
- ✓This position is located on a tobacco free facility.
- ✓This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- ✓An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- ✓Must attended Supervisor Training: failure to complete Supervisor Training within 12 months of appointment will result in reversion to previous position.
