This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Social Worker and Clinical Director of a substance abuse treatment facility; supervises counselors and clerical positions.
What You'll Do
- →Develops and administers a comprehensive rehabilitation and treatment program designed to treat alcohol and drug abuse related problems Evaluates community resources to determine type of services available.
- →Screens, interviews and refers, if necessary, special problem cases beyond the professional capacity of the rehabilitation staff.
- →Performs bio-psychosocial evaluations, and analyzes clinical assessments of patients.
- →Instructs in proper therapeutic techniques for staff and university placement interns.
- →Provides the full range of psychological assessment; and knowledge of psychodynamics, psychopathology, human growth and development, statistics, substance abuse treatment techniques and biological-neurological bases of addiction.
