About the Role

This position is located in the DEA, Operations Division (OC), Academy Operations Section, Logistics and Acquisition Support Unit. This position(s) primary purpose is to assist the Support Services Supervisor in developing, reviewing, evaluating, recommending, and implementing an effective supply management program within DEA Headquarters and foreign office locations. In addition, the different training programs require a broad range of specialized and technical equipment.

What You'll Do

  • As a your typical work assignments may include: Oversees supply chain operations for training programs, including inventory, shipping and equipment management.
  • Develops and improves logistics processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Manages budgets and ensures funding is used properly for shipping and services.
  • Reviews and approves invoices, contracts and procurement actions.
  • Conducts inspections and evaluates contractor services & deliverables.
  • Prepares reports and advises leadership on contractor performances and risks.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on shipping, hazardous materials, and logistics regulations.
  • Maintain contract file system from development, pre-award, post-award, and termination or closure.
  • Recommends contract modifications and provides technical advice to the contractor regarding the terms of the contract.
