This position serves as the Program Manager for the VHA Vocational Rehabilitation Service (VAVR) which is comprised of Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) Programs - Transitional Work (TW), Supported Employment (SE), Community Based Employment Services(CBES), and Supported Education(SE). Vocational Assistance (VOC), and Peer Support (PSS) are additional vocational rehabilitation services provided within VA-VR, and as a part of the Mental Health product line, under the Chief, Psychology Services.
What You'll Do
- →Duties: Responsible for VA-VR/CWT financial account budget and billing, collections, contract procurement, equipment purchases, purchase of support services, payments to veterans participating in CWT, etc.
- →Assesses the effectiveness of current programming and resources to ensure adequate placement and follow up of program participants.
- →Initiates and maintains up to date Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) and contractual agreements with referring sources in the community.
- →Uses professional expertise to interpret results that are uncommon, inconsistent or unconventional.
- →Conducts comprehensive initial evaluations to determine the existence of a vocational impairment and whether this impairment constitutes an employment handicap, the severity of the employment handicap, the feasibility for achieving a vocational goal referred for rehabilitation benefits and the need for independent living services.
- →Provides services to a broad range of clients presenting many combinations of vocational education, physical and emotional disabilities.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Requirements
