The Supervisory Veterans Service Representative (Veterans Service Center Manager) manages the Veterans Service Center (VSC) operations through a staff of personnel responsible for claims processing, providing information, advice, and assistance on all types of VA benefits to veterans and their dependents and for providing outreach services to stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- →Specific duties include: Planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling the work of the division.
- →Directing staffing, placement, assignment, and training of division personnel to manage division workflow and productivity.
- →Directing program activities for the delivery of VA benefit programs for veterans, their dependents, and beneficiaries.
- →Exercising final authority for the full range of the division's personnel actions.
- →Ensuring proficient resource utilization and quality of work performed and services rendered; writing/establishing policies and procedures within the division.
- →Maintaining the highest technical and professional authority to make final decisions in the types of claims considered most difficult or critical, which commit the Federal Government to unusual liability.
- →Forecasting both short- and long-range workloads of the division so adequate funds, staffing, space, equipment, and supplies will be planned for, budgeted, and provided.
- →Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only.
- →The selectee is required to report to he official duty station each scheduled workday.
- →Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval.
- →Routine or recurring telework is not authorized for this position.
- →Remote: No Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
- →Position Description/PD#: Supervisory Veterans Service Representative (VSCM); PD 37978A Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Relocation expenses and services (Permanent Change of Station - PCS) are authorized for this recruitment.
- →PCS is the relocation of a household due to government convenience in connection with the transfer between duty stations or facilities.
