Supervisory Supply Management Specialist is the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) for VA Health Care System (VA HCS) and supported catchment area, responsible for development and integration of a cohesive supply chain that ensures logistical requirements of the VA HCS and supported catchment area are met, and oversees, guides, manages and integrates supply chain operations across the organization, including planning/coordination with fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include but are not limited to: Lead, direct, and integrate all supply chain operations to ensure effective support of patient care.
- →Establish and implement policies, procedures, and best practices across logistics and supply chain functions.
- →Oversee acquisition, delivery, and lifecycle management of supplies, equipment, and services.
- →Manage inventory oversight, accountability, and control of expendable and non-expendable assets.
- →Conduct supply chain analysis and implement corrective actions to improve performance and compliance.
- →Coordinate strategic planning and logistics activities with fiscal, acquisition, clinical, and administrative stakeholders.
- →Manage multimillion-dollar budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of funds and proper financial stewardship.
- →Provide leadership, supervision, and workforce development for logistics and property management staff.
- →Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and VA directives.
- →Lead emergency logistics planning and response to support rapid acquisition and distribution of resources when needed.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Telework: Ad hoc eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements
