About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →This position is in the Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Service of the VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS}.
- →The incumbent is responsible for assisting the service chief in leading the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology service, in conjunction with assisting section chiefs in this pursuit.
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Assessing patient conditions through examination, observation, and consultation with members of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- →Utilizing diagnostic and evaluative procedures consistent with current professional standards.
- →Developing appropriate plans of care and delivering treatment based on evidence-based practice principles.
- →Documenting evaluations, treatments, and outcomes in accordance with facility policy and completing all related patient-care tasks in a timely manner.
- →Communicating findings to patients, families, and professional colleagues.
