About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The incumbent is a supervisory social worker for the Eugene Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) at the Roseburg VA Health Care System.
- →The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Provides clinical supervision to various disciplines and levels of training.
- →Provides leadership guidance and consultation to staffs of units to which assigned.
- →May be involved in the training of medical students, medical and psychiatric residents, fellows and other graduate or post[1]graduate trainees, as appropriate Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and uses the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care.
- →Performs evaluations for wide array of patients representing diverse diagnostic entities.
- →Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions.
- →Participates as an active treatment team member of the BHIP team Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues.
- →Social workers, or other staff, may be involved in program evaluation and/or research activities.
- →Responsible for strategic planning to ensure the provision of high-quality services to meet the needs of the Veterans being served.
- →Responsible for planning and developing and implementing short- and long-term goals and objectives consistent with the program's strategic plan.
- →Assures that appropriate referrals to specialty programs, including community resources, are accomplished.
- →This may include ordering the following consults: Mental Health Service Programs, (i.e., Substance Abuse, PTSD, Mental Health Intensive Case Management, Compensated Work Therapy, Homeless, and Day Treatment) Vocational Rehabilitation, and Long-Term Care.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Compressed/Flexible: May be available at supervisor's discretion Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.
