About the Role

The Supervisory Social Worker is responsible for supervising and assisting in planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures. This role involves establishing individual and group goals and objectives, as well as monitoring, evaluating, and managing the clinical and administrative operations within their assigned program. These positions provide support to the National Center for Warrior Independence at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in Los Angeles, California.

  • This announcement will fill Supervisory Social Work vacancies in the Housing and Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program and the Behavioral Emergency Response Team within Community Reengagement Reintegration Service.
  • Both positions are located at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in Los Angeles, California.
  • Key job duties include, but are not limited to: Provides professional and administrative management of the assigned program.
  • Provides clinical supervision for unlicensed Social Workers.
  • May provide direct clinical psychosocial and case management services, as needed.
  • Provides orientation and on-going training to subordinate staff.
  • Monitors compliance with documentation guidelines, workload standards, data entry protocols, ethical practices, and service delivery requirements.
  • Responsible for data collection, administrative record keeping, and monitoring patient or program clinical indicators, thresholds, and performance measurements.
  • Ensures collaboration with community partners across Greater Los Angeles, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Work Schedule: Various tours of duty based on the needs of the service.
  • Compressed/Flexible: May be available based on the needs of the service.
  • Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.

Requirements
