The incumbent provides supervision to Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program team assigned to the Fargo VAHCS which may include Social Workers, Psychologists, and Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselors. This vacancy will be filled by either a Supervisory Social Worker, Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (Program Manager), or a Psychology Program Manager. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

- →VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU The incumbent monitors workload activity oversees referral of veterans to community care, inpatient care referrals, and care coordination and clinical supervision of assigned social workers.
- →In addition, this position provides a wide range of supervisory duties which includes clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments and quality improvement.
- →The incumbent directly supervises the practice of staff assigned to their section, including orientation and close monitoring of new or less experienced staff.
- →The incumbent provides social work coverage for areas where service gaps exist.
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Completes psychosocial assessments, and medical record documentation including Clinical Reminders in accordance with Fargo VA Health Care System policies and guidelines.
- →Supervises outpatient social workers, psychologists, licensed mental health professional counselors, and other mental health professionals who are performing work at various GS levels.
- →Performs the administrative and personnel management functions relative to staff supervised.
- →Observes workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques including competency assessments, performance appraisals and Scope of Practice.
- →Provides informal feedback on a consistent basis to promote the professional development of assigned staff.
