About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Supervisory Social Worker provides supervision to a group of employees performing work at various GS levels up to their own grade and provides administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the program and service.
- →Incumbent may maintain a clinical practice caseload depending on workload in the assigned area.
- →Duties include but are not limited to: The Supervisory Social Worker provides provide leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight to a team of social workers and support staff engaged in suicide prevention efforts.
- →This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring evidence-based strategies and protocols that align with national suicide prevention policies and best practices.
- →The incumbent ensures the delivery of comprehensive psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, and case management services to Veterans identified as high risk for suicide.
- →Additionally, the Supervisory Social Worker facilitates staff training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and ensure compliance with VA regulations.
- →Performs specialized treatment of complex physical or mental illness as it relates to mental health illness, severe mental health illness and comorbid substance use disorders.
- →Incumbent also provides specialized assessments, and treatment planning.
