About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Provide first-line administrative and clinical supervision to assigned HUD-VASH social workers and support staff.
- →Plan, organize, assign, and evaluate the work of assigned staff to ensure timely and effective delivery of clinical and case management services.
- →Monitor workload distribution, panel size, productivity, documentation timeliness, and clinical performance to ensure equitable workload and compliance with program expectations.
- →Complete performance plans, proficiency evaluations, competency assessments, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE), Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE), and annual performance evaluations within established timeframes.
- →Approve leave, coordinate staffing coverage, and adjust assignments to maintain continuity of Veteran care.
- →Recruit, interview, orient, mentor, and evaluate employees in accordance with VA Human Resources policies and Merit System Principles.
- →Provide consultation regarding complex psychosocial, behavioral health, housing, and community reintegration issues.
- →Review complex clinical cases and provide guidance related to assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and risk management.
- →Ensure clinical documentation complies with VHA policy, accreditation standards, and professional practice requirements.
- →Promote the consistent application of Housing First principles, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and recovery-oriented practice.
- →Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case consultation to ensure coordinated, comprehensive Veteran care.
- →Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and reassessments.
- →Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- →Provide comprehensive HUD-VASH case management utilizing Housing First and recovery-oriented practices.
