Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, San Diego Field Office, Fines, Penalties, and Forfeitures Staff located in Otay, CA. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO), within the Fines, Penalties, and Forfeitures (FPF) Office.
- →The incumbent oversees the comprehensive reviews, evaluations, surveys and other assessments pertaining to the operational functions relating to seized property management.
- →The incumbent serves as a first-line supervisor, directing administrative and operational functions of the Seized Property program.
- →This position starts at a salary of $121,585.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,062.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →In this supervisory position you will become a key team member of homeland security professionals overseeing the inventory and safe storage of seized illegal narcotics, prohibited goods and restricted merchandise.
- →Typical work assignments include: Serves as a first line supervisor, performing and supervising staff of Seized Property Specialists responsible for providing custody, management, and disposition of seized/forfeited property.
- →Overseeing the comprehensive reviews, evaluations, surveys and other assessments pertaining to the operational functions relating to seized property management.
- →Managing the overall operation of the Seized Property program.
- →Coordinating and directing seized property destruction operations.
- →Directing and verifying special handling requirements are met for hazardous materials, bio-hazardous, and any other property requiring special transportation and/or unique handling.
