The position serves as a Supervisory Resource Management Specialist for Animal Care (AC), Resource Management Support (RMS). As a key member of RMS, the incumbent is responsible for leading and directing the work of a nationwide Administrative Support Sub-unit charged with implementing, establishing, and executing a variety of administrative management activities for a geographically disbursed workforce.
What You'll Do

- →At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
- →The duties may include, but are not limited to: Interprets and explains complex Federal, Departmental, Agency and/or program guidelines to customers to ensure compliance with the intent of the instructions.
- →Provides subject matter expertise, leadership, consultation, collaboration, and advisory services essential to the direction and efficient operation of administrative activities across AC.
- →Initiates, plans, directs, and/or participates in special studies, projects, and/or requests for information.
- →Provide sound research, analysis, advisory and consultation to employees, supervisors, and managers.
- →Directs, assigns, and adjusts work of the Administrative Team based on changing circumstances.
- →Develops short and long-range plans for the team which supports the mission and goals of AC personnel nationwide.
- →Represents AC and RMS positions on subject matter discussed in meetings with Department/Agency personnel and distributes information as it pertains to updates or changes in administrative regulations, procedures, policy, and guidelines.
- →Manages a program-wide Government purchase card (GPC) program consisting of cardholders across the U.S.
- →Interprets governing policies, rules, and regulations, and provides guidance to cardholders on proper usage.
- →Responds to oral and written communication from employees, managers, as well as internal and external customers and stakeholders on a variety of topics related to the activities of this team.
- →Serves as the program’s Accountable Property Officer (APO) for AC.
- →The incumbent assigns and reviews the work of staff to ensure timely performance, soundness, and value.
