This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Forces Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), The purpose of this position is to serve as an Aquatics/Sports Manager and assists with the oversight of one or a combination of one of the following programs at the installation: Aquatics, Fitness, Sports.
What You'll Do

- →MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Assists in planning, and implementing a comprehensive, aquatics program, for active and retired military, authorized civilians, contractors, and dependents at multiple facilities.
- →Program includes recreation swim, lap swim, water safety instruction, aquatic events, etc.
- →Protects lives through aggressive prevention, preparedness, education, emergency medical, and rescue programs.
- →Ensures all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to swimming pools and waterfronts are posted and observed.
- →Performs water rescues and land rescues equal to the standard of training when an emergency is taking place (e.g. drowning, medical or trauma in the water, etc.).
- →Manages respiratory, cardiac and first aid emergencies to include performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bag-valve-mask (BVM) resuscitation, or automatic external defibrillation (AED).
- →Manages the use and maintenance of emergency equipment such as specialized kits and rescue bags, backboards, suction devices, splints, stretchers, and monitoring equipment.
- →Develops and oversees emergency medical and rescue training, public education and other related educational and functional duties.
- →Teaches various swimming skills and basic diving for all age groups.
- →Prepares material for classes being taught.
- →Ensures the safety of all patrons in the class.
- →Ensures alt maintenance work, water chemical testing, pool vacuuming, filtration, and equipment are within the scope required by preventative medicine standards.
