This position is located in the Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Programs. The Purpose of this position is to plan, develop, organize, supervise, implement, promote and evaluate effective Outdoor Recreation Equipment Rental program for all eligible patrons.
What You'll Do
- →This position provides technical direction, oversight and guidance for the implementation of policies, evaluation of operations, facilities and equipment and functional operations of a year-round, comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Rental program.
- →The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the Outdoor Recreation Gear Issue and RV and Boat Storage Lot, maintenance repair or MWR rental gear (camping trailers, utility trailers, boats, canoes, kayaks, and amusements, etc).
- →Prepares, administers and monitors the annual APF and NAF budgets.
- →Insures proper internal controls are established to protect income, minor property, fixed assets, supplies, records, etc.
- →Accounts for all program funds.Establishes and conducts ongoing preventative maintenance program for the facilities, equipment and vehicles to provide for safe and reliable service.
- →Keeps the proper equipment and associated gear/ safety features, requiring research on new developments in the outdoor equipment field and knowledge of all safety regulations.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
- →SUPERVISORY STATEMENT Directly supervises (1) NA-10 Marine Motor Mechanic, (2) NA-07 Maintenance Workers, (1) NFOI Recreation Aid, and (1-2) military personnel as assigned.
- →Responsible for scheduling of staff to ensure all program commitments are met, evaluates performance, makes recommendations for awards and/or corrective or disciplinary actions, approves/disapproves leave.
- →Interviews and recommends applicants for selection or promotion.
