This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Education Service (EDU), Operations Integrity Division. The Quality Assurance Chief plays a critical role in overseeing the organization's quality assurance programs and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Supervisory Management Analyst for the National Quality - Automation team within Education Service.
- →In that capacity, responsible for leadership, direction and coordination of the Service's equality programs and materials.
- →Incumbent is also responsible for the program analysis and quality control of the programs, and for providing advice, guidance, and operational support to the Assistant Director for Operations Integrity.
- →Specific duties include: Analyze needs, designs and develops materials, training recommendations, and evaluates quality programs in order to revise content.
- →Responsible for developing quality assurance for central office internal controls.
- →Responsible for planning, scheduling, facilitating, and marketing quality assurance products/ programs, assessing performance and providing feedback.
- →Conduct a comprehensive program of appraisal and evaluation of all automated program activities in Education Service.
- →Provide guidance and advice on issues associated with quality assurance.
- →Identify quality needs using surveys, focus groups and similar tools that provide feedback and priorities from employees, managers, supervisors, and program participants.
- →As assigned, plans, and directs program area reviews and studies, ranging in complexity from specific operational functions and problems to program-wide applications.
- →Promotion Potential: None Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only.
- →The selectee is required to report to the official duty station each scheduled workday.
- →Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval.
- →Routine or recurring telework is not authorized for this position.
