About the Role

This position is located in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) national program Office of Integrity and Compliance (OIC). The incumbent will report to either the Chief Compliance Officer(CCO) or the Director, Planning and Operations. OIC establishes national standards for integrity and compliance in health care and promotes those standards through policy, programs, data and information systems, education, guidance, tools and evaluation.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the project management/change management team within the framework of agency policy and overall program objectives.
  • Supervise staff and maintaining the efficiency of a virtual workforce working at sites around the country.
  • Collaborate with Executive Management to ensure coordination of program activities, promote efficient operation, and ensure accomplishment of the program office and VHA mission.
  • Interact with management and program officials to resolve resource problems and conflicts.
  • Communicate with the management team on the status of different work activities and efforts.
  • Present to a variety of audiences and representing the program office and VHA in a professional and positive manner.
  • Engage senior leadership in all aspects of strategic planning, including the development of strategic goals, objectives, and performance measures.
  • Identify and implement short and long-term planning parameters required to accommodate existing and future health care demands.
  • Apply various VA and VHA policies and procedures found in handbooks, directives, manuals etc.
  • Utilize a variety of VHA planning strategies and priorities.
  • Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, giving advice, counsel, and instruction to employees, hearing and resolving minor complaints from employees, preparing performance standards and appraisals, conducting performance reviews, and performing other supervisory duties.
  • Use project management software to set up project timelines and resources, track the progress of project work and monitor staff performance.
  • Serve as Advisor on issues affecting projects and Project Management programs.
  • Develop and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes.
