What You'll Do
- →What will I do in this position if hired?
- →In this position, you will serve as the Office of Policy and Program Analysis, Enterprise Analytics Division Director responsible for implementing FEMA's enterprise analytics and data strategy.
- →You will align data, analytics, and evidence work across the Agency and operationalize that strategy through subordinate branches.
- →You will provide clarity of vision and leadership to help senior leaders achieve FEMA's strategic goals by maximizing the value of FEMA's data.
- →Typical assignments include: Directing inter- and intra-agency engagement on critical data and analytics issues, including coordination with DHS Headquarters, Components, and external partners to standardize key data and address complex data management challenges.
- →Providing enterprise-wide leadership for FEMA's data and analytics strategy, including developing and executing an enterprise data strategy that leverages modern data platform technology and ensures data quality, transparency, governance, and risk management across priority mission domains.
- →Serving as a subject matter expert on leveraging data insights to drive strategic and tactical business decisions, advising the FEMA Administrator, Deputy Administrator, OPPA leadership, and other senior executives.

- →Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
- →All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.
- →Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
