About the Role
This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), with one vacancy in Boulder, CO. What You'll Do
- →Manage an extensive portfolio of programs addressing fisheries, ocean, coastal, climate, and atmospheric science occurring on the campus.
- →Coordinate NOAA's prioritization for investments and coordinate contracting and construction with General Services Administration (GSA).
- →Operate and manage new buildings and on-going warranty repairs.
- →Interface extensively with the other organizations, including but not exclusive to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), and NOAA senior management on operations issues impacting the campus.
- →Work closely with the NOAA Executive Board, NOAA's Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Information Officer to ensure that facility and Information Technology (IT) operations support priorities for campus mission programs are effectively addressed within the integrated campus management model.
- →Exercise full supervisory authority over a diverse group of employees responsible for facilities upkeep and management, to include evaluating work performance, developing performance standards, and other administrative and technical oversight.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-5 is equivalent to the GS-15.
