What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Program Manager, you will perform the following duties: Serve as the Science and Geospatial Division Chief, overseeing the strategic leadership and oversight of the Digital Coast Program and Partnership.
- →Oversee the coordination and application of geospatial data, tools, and technologies for coastal resource management.
- →Represent the Office of Coastal Management (OCM) by facilitating scientific understanding, information exchange, and support agency objectives to internal and external organizations.
- →Provide program direction regarding the scope and impact of program alignment with the National Ocean Service's (NOS) priorities.
- →Conduct program review and analysis to identify areas where vulnerabilities are occurring and determine required corrective action.
- →Apply geospatial technologies to address coastal management challenges.
- →Exercise full supervisory authority over a diverse group of employees, including evaluating work performance, developing performance standards, and managing the division's workforce through career development opportunities.
- →Oversee the recruiting and promotion of personnel and approve recommended organizational change proposals.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-5 is equivalent to the GS-15.
- ✓Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.
