About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Portfolio and Contracts Management Division, located in Ashburn, Virginia. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • This position will allow you to utilize your expertise in various administrative skills to provide project-related, advisory, and technical services to U.S.
  • Customs and Border Protection (CBP) management.
  • This position starts at a salary of $169,279.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).

  • In this Supervisory Program Manager position, you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals, assisting in planning, evaluating, integrating and coordinating initiatives and staff actions.
  • Typical work assignments include: Overseeing the production of a wide variety of communications programs and services, planning for short- and long-term operations, and ensuring staff planning is completed in accordance with leadership guidance and policy.
  • Reviewing staff and Program Office operations, determining the correctness and applicability of proposed actions, and directing necessary corrective steps to ensure compliance with policies and improve results.
  • Ensuring efficient and timely coordination of major staff actions and events, orchestrating meetings and conferences, and representing the Program Office in meetings with DHS, CBP, and external stakeholders.
  • Developing long-range plans, identifying required resources, interpreting and implementing policies, assigning responsibilities, and coordinating major projects to improve Program Office operations.

Requirements
