You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SAFETY MANAGER in the PRODUCTION PROCESS OFFICE (Code 900P), PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. ***TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR AND MAY BECOME PERMANENT without further competition***
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for the continued growth and evolution of an enhanced safety culture within Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
- →You will direct formal surveillance of work processes to measure/evaluate degree of compliance with established safety regulations.
- →You will direct, review, and monitor production training courses and audit results on the job to ensure adequacy of training.
- →You will be responsible for the development and implementation of processes and programs to ensure that injury prevention is the foremost goal in all production work plans.
