About the Role
You will serve as a Supervisory Production Controller (SHIPS) in the Production Department of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA.
What You'll Do
- →You will assess production staff training and experience levels to determine, assign, or schedule on-the-job-training.
- →You will investigate causes for production delays and stoppages and recommend solutions to alleviate production operational problems.
- →You will advise a production workforce on ship repair processes or procedures.
- →You will expedite the use of advanced and in-progress requirements for labor, machines, and materials associated with production operations You will comply with schedules and project milestones to facilitate timely project completion related to ship repair or overhaul projects.
- →You will coordinate material procurement for ship construction or repair to resolve possible issues.
Requirements
- ✓No basic education requirements.
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The incumbent may also be required to perform these and other functions in obstructed areas in or around a ship undergoing overhaul or repair.
- ✓ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
- ✓ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
- ✓Applicants who do not provide this documentation will not receive consideration as an ICTAP candidate.

- ✓Civilian Component in a host nation of any person who holds dual citizenship of the U.S. and the host nation.

- ✓Civilian Component in Italy; however, that person is not prohibited by the NATO Status of Forces Agreement from employment in the U.S. civilian Component in another NATO host nation of which (s)he does not hold citizenship.
