About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), Position Description Number D2504000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →As a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-11, you will develop, interpret, and provide program guidance to the Wing regarding maintenance policies, procedures, budget, training criteria, and manpower/personnel.
- →Interprets command aircraft assignment configuration and reporting policy and informs appropriate Wing personnel of requirements and provides sufficient follow-up to ensure compliance.
- →Create functional checklists, guides, and other evaluation tools for use in determining the proficiency of maintenance operations personnel in accomplishing related maintenance tasks.
- →Develops, recommends, and reviews new or supplemental draft maintenance procedures and instructions applicable to aircraft maintenance missions.
- →Manages the maintenance training program and implements policies to ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained to fulfill mission requirements.
- →Evaluate the overall structure of maintenance organizations, identifying program deficiencies and areas for improvement.
- →Prepare and present summaries/briefings on maintenance manpower levels and any impact on readiness.
- →Provide recommendations to accommodate shortfalls.
- →Review and coordinate maintenance personnel and position change requests.
- →Other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period.
- →Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.
- →Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK
