About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Perform law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect and investigate crimes, apprehend violators, and perform patrols.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the primary person responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of law enforcement programs, policies, and procedures under the direction of the Chief of Police.
- →Conduct long-range and day-to-day planning of operations of subordinate activities ensuring consideration of all assigned areas of responsibility.
- →Recommend updates to policy letters, memorandums, and guidelines pertaining to the conduct and performance of assigned law enforcement activities.
- →Maintain controls on all overtime worked in the unit.
- →Conduct long-range and day-to-day planning of operations of subordinate activities ensuring consideration of all assigned areas of responsibility.
- →Take charge of crime and accident scenes and directs and oversees law enforcement operations.
- →Attend meetings with directors, managers, supervisors of other FHNY directorates/organizations on police operations and services required of the police force.
