About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at WRNMMC with the Director for Mental Health, Department of MH Consultation and Education, Psychiatry Consultation Liaison in Bethesda, MD. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Provide routine, complex, and emergency mental health care for a wide range of emotional, psychological, and mental disorders.
- →Develop and implement treatment plans using advanced knowledge and skills, considering multiple therapeutic alternatives.
- →Make appropriate referrals to internal and external medical and mental health providers as needed.
- →Serve as an expert advisor on mental health policies and procedures within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- →Implement and monitor program initiatives for effectiveness and access.
- →Ensure all personnel receive necessary professional training and continuing education.
- →Oversee and participate in training programs for medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
- →Set goals and provide administrative and technical direction to subordinates.
- →Assign performance ratings, approve awards, and take corrective actions as needed.
- →Identify developmental and training needs of employees.
- →Provide or arrange for necessary training and development opportunities.
