About the Role
Join the Indian Health Service as a Supervisory Pharmacist (Inpatient) in Kayenta, Arizona, where you will lead clinical pharmacy services, supervise pharmacy staff, oversee pharmacy operations, and implement quality improvement initiatives. This leadership role supports the Service Unit's mission by ensuring safe, effective patient care and promoting organizational excellence. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Pharmacist Total Compensation | Pay (ihs.gov) Provides technical and administrative supervision to pharmacist clinicians assigned to pharmacist-led clinics in the inpatient department.
- →Provides day-to-day supervision of staff, including work assignments, performance management, employee development, and personnel actions.
- →Reviews and analyzes Inpatient Pharmacy records, reports and monitors other evidence of work production, expenditures, utilization of resources for the purpose of fund control, i.e. monitors and maintains outpatient pharmacy operating budget.
- →Takes the appropriate health history, follows and adjusts the developed treatment plan and monitors the patient's outcome to the prescribed treatment plan.
- →Provides pharmaceutical services to focus on therapeutic drug monitoring.
- →Performs on a regular basis and which involve risk to patient's life, safety, health or well- being.
- →Conducts authorized pharmacy clinics for examination, diagnosis and treatment of specialized patients.
Requirements
