About the Role

You will serve as a Supervisory Park Ranger (Interpretation) with National Park Service. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 08/12/2026 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.

What You'll Do

  • As a Supervisory Park Ranger (Interpretation), you will perform the following duties: Develops and delivers a wide variety of interpretive programs, media, and digital content connecting visitors to park resources.
  • Engages the public through presenting a complete and highly varied suite of formal structured programs (e.g., walks, talks, tours, presentations, demonstrations, events, and virtual interactions).
  • Coordinates visitor facility and information desk operations and monitors visitor services.
  • Trains, mentors, and coaches interpretive staff and critiques program delivery.
  • Coordinates day-to-day execution of park education programs and partnerships with educators.
  • Coordinates historic black powder weapons safety, storage, and demonstration programs per NPS standards Develops a wide variety of fully accessible non-personal services and interpretive media.
  • Participates in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of black powder storage, demonstrations, and weapons-firing.

Requirements

  • Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
  • Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
