About the Role

Provide supervisory duties in clinical and administrative responsibilities. Will set work assignment priorities, assess nursing staff for development, implement regulatory standards for quality patient care services. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021). Recruitment incentive authorized up to 25% of base pay. What You'll Do

  • Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Registered Nurse Total Compensation | Pay (ihs.gov) Provide technical guidance, instructions, and training to developing nursing staff.
  • Responsible for workload assignments and employee performance evaluation, setting priorities in accordance with healthcare regulatory requirements, and initiate staff meetings to convey policy updates and establish employee expectations.
  • Initiate a wide range of administrative duties to evaluate contractor compliance, update nursing care policies, and provide data presentation to facility leadership.

  • Vaccine exemption requests may be available according to the National and/or Service Unit guidance.
  • The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
  • If privileges are not obtained or maintained during employment, the employee will be subject to adverse actions, up to and including removal from Federal service.
  • On-call hours or standby duty may be required.

  • Timely completion is critical to avoid delays in processing or a determination of unsuitability.
