About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the department of obstetrics & gynecology at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Provide group, individual and/or family teaching and counseling.
- →Coordinate patient referrals to support services provided by community health nurse, social work service , dietician, clinical nurse specialist, etc. as required.
- →Assign work to subordinates based on scope of practice and match the complexity of the work with the nursing experience of the employee.
- →Identify developmental training needs of employees and provides or arranges for training and coaching of needed skills.
- →Implement individualized nursing care for surgical patients.
- →Serve as a resource person to other less experienced nurses in the surgical ambulatory clinic (Phase II recovery), and other clinical settings engaging in moderate sedation or anesthetic agents.
