About the Role
The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager and manages all Veterans Transportation System (VTS) and Beneficiary Travel (BT) Program activities, including patient transport, Special Mode Travel (SMT), mileage reimbursement claims, transportation contracts, 911 ambulance claims, inter-facility transfers, and common carrier transportation.
What You'll Do
- →The position supervises/ensures the VTS and BT processes comply with regulatory guidance, while assuring program effectiveness.
- →They serve as the Contracting Officer Representative for all transportation contracts, including common carrier, Special Mode, ambulance, and air ambulance.
- →The incumbent is also responsible for working with state Veterans and Transportation Agencies and local transportation providers to establish expanded transportation networks to improve Veterans access to cars.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time, 7:30am-4:00pm.
- →Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
