This Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist position serves within the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, and reports to the Associate Directors Office. The primary purpose of this position is to manage all Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) and Beneficiary Travel (BT) program activities, including; patient transport, Special Mode Travel (SMT), and mileage reimbursement claims. This position supervises/ensures the VTS and BT process comply with Regulatory guidance.
What You'll Do
- →The program may also provide pre-approved transportation solutions and arrange SMT at the request of facility Manages demand against available resources to increase access to medical care through the Medical Centers organic transportation resources Develops procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems.
- →Develops, analyzes, evaluates, advises on, or improves the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, delegation of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management.
- →Collaborates with service providers in local communities to serve Veterans' transportation needs.
- →Works closely and routinely with other services within the Medical Center, including, but not limited to: Business Office (HAS); Fleet Management; Medicine Service; Social Work Service; Nursing; Voluntary Service; Primary Care, Mental Health, Homeless and Rehabilitation.(Internal Customers).
- →Responsible for managing the appropriate utilization of the Vet Ride System, including all the Administrative Portal, the web based Veteran Trip Request Portal, the Third Party Contractor Portal and the Special Mode Tracker Module, ensuring all security and compliance measures are complied with by all staff the Mobility Manager authorizes to use the system.
- →Performs management and/or program support work, such as program or office planning, evaluation of administrative programs or issues, training program administration, correspondence control, liaison, special projects, or board or committee-related work.
- →Ensures that facility operations complies with standards of accrediting organizations Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm) Telework: This position may be authorized for ADHOC telework.
