About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, International Operations and Advisory Directorate (IOAD), Mission Support Division, Deployments, Relocation and Travel Branch in Ashburn, VA.

What You'll Do

  • In this position you will be a principal assistant to the Assistant Director, Mission Support, responsible for leading the development and implementation of the key support processes for the organization.
  • This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
  • Typical work assignments include and are not limited to: Advising the Assistant Director, Mission Support and other managers on key support processes.
  • Developing and implementing short and long plans, improving the delivery of services, to adding new services, deleting services not needed, and upgrading facilities assuring the best possible service is provided.
  • Partnering with the Assistant Director, Mission Support (ADMS) in developing, evaluating, and improving financial policy, planning and processes.
  • Reviewing results of oversight activities, determining the significance and severity of problems and issues as well as which ones to bring to the national process owners.
  • Leading and directing the resolution, implementing and coordinating corrective actions.
