The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant under the administrative oversight of the Community Care Service but working in in the Radiology Department at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center.
What You'll Do
- →Duties at this level include: The incumbent must assist with imaging clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times, location, or dates when directed by Service leadership.
- →The incumbent is responsible for implementing and enforcing clinic changes, advises supervisor(s) of strategies to manage clinic access, and ensures compliance with appointment management practices per VA scheduling directive guidelines.
- →The incumbent manages CPRS view alerts from a variety of individuals for action involving patient care and ensures subordinate Lead MSAs and AMSAs appropriately manage new orders for clinics in CPRS, BISL, and VISTA (or other applications as implemented) to ensure orders are scheduled timely and within VA guidelines.
- →The incumbent monitors and analyzes Automated Call Distribution (ACD) data to ensure timely phone access for patients and provides feedback and training to staff; identifies developmental and training needs for all staff operating on the ACD system.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday Telework: Available on an ad-hoc basis Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
