This position serves as a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant (MSA) in the Business Operations Service (BOS) at the Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC). Incumbent is under the supervision of the Supervisory Program Specialist at either the KCVAMC or designated Community-Based Outreach Clinics (CBOC).
What You'll Do
- →The Supervisory Medical Support Assistant (MSA) for the Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC) is located within Business Office Service (BOS) and provide support to various clinics throughout the Kansas City VA Healthcare network.
- →The incumbent is responsible for directing, coordinating and supervising a variety of administrative and clerical functions necessary to provide quality and timely healthcare to our Veterans.
- →Responsible for extracting and analyzing data to provide reports in support of performance measures to senior management.
- →Directs and coordinates the activities of administrative staff assigned to the clinic areas and integrating workloads and assignments to fully utilize all available resources.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
- →Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.

Requirements
