The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant with the Robley Rex VAMC Business Office. Duties may be performed in Clinic Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), Call Center, Outpatient Clinic, Specialty, Ancillary or Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model. The incumbent performs duties related to the receipt, intake, and indexing of health and administrative information. The incumbent will interface with personal computer (PC) applications as well as numerous Vista applications.
What You'll Do
- →Supervisory MSA's are responsible for answering questions for lower graded staff relating to healthcare services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- →The Supervisory MSA monitors work assignments, provides evaluations of employee performance, resolves daily workplace issues, maintains efficient workflow, and creates a positive work environment.
- →Duties at this level include, but are not limited to: Supervisory MSAs at this level plan and direct programs at medical centers and/or satellite outpatient clinics and have full supervisory responsibility for supervising at least one subordinate MSA team leader or supervisor.
- →The employee has full administrative and professional responsibility for planning and directing the MSA's activities.
- →Responsible for extracting and analyzing data to provide reports in support of performance measures to senior management.

Requirements
