About the Role
This position is located at the Patient Check-In section of the OPD of the Rosebud PHS Hospital, Rosebud, SD. The purpose of this position is to function as the Supervisory Medical Support Assistant. Incumbent is responsible for managing and directing the daily activities for administrative support including registration and eligibility services. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for assessing needs, planning and implementing a hospital-wide security program that is integrated into all of programs within the service unit.
- →Serves as the principal advisor to the service unit CEO and all other allied health staff on all matters related to security.
- →Vaccine exemption requests may be available, as outlined in the IHS Employee Immunization Policy and facility guidance.
Requirements
- ✓Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S.
- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
