About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Medical Records Technician in a Medical Treatment Facility Responsible for the supervision of assigned employees, the management and retirement of medical records, as well as the day-to-day management at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Directs and supervises assigned employees.
- →Assigns work to subordinates.
- →Coordinates and conducts quarterly clinic visits to train front desk functions, medical records storage, and retirement.
- →Provides advice and assistance to higher level staff on medical record requirements and standards to ensure compliance.
- →Ensures that the administration, maintenance, retirement, and disposal of outpatient records meet all requirements.
- →Ensures that patient confidentiality is protected during the movement of records.
- →Evaluates medical record program, ROI requests and distribution of assignments for overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- →Establishes, implements, and monitors quality assurance systems and procedures in relation to all records, admission processes, contracting and incoming/outgoing official mail
