The Supervisory Medical Care Transportation Technician -Paramedic position is located at Eastern Oklahoma VAHCS in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The position will be assigned to Medicine Inpatient/ER service, reporting directly to the Ambulance Medical Director. The position will also work closely in collaboration with the Mobility Manager.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** The Supervisory Medical Care Transportation Technician performs technical duties as a Paramedic (Basic and Advanced Life Support Services).
- →In addition to performing all the duties and responsibilities of a Paramedic, the person in this position will, as a regular and recurring part of their assignment, exercise supervisory authorities and responsibilities over the Ambulance Services Program (ASP).
- →Work Schedule: Supervisory Paramedics may work rotating shifts, including holidays, and are subject to occasional recall to maintain adequate coverage of the Emergency Department and ambulance service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- →Mandatory overtime may be required due to run times that may extend beyond normal scheduled work hours.
