About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MECHANICAL INTERNAL SHOP MANAGER in the Mechanical Shop (930), Production Resources Department Manager (901), Production Resources Department (900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will determine the total resource requirements and allocation based on schedules and work sequences.
- →You will coordinate and modify the work plan to integrate with systems and work in other zones, including ships force work.
- →You will take necessary actions to achieve cost and schedule commitments.
- →You will coordinate with inside shops, ships force and various shipyard departments for testing.
- →You will participate with engineering development of qualitative work standards.
- →You will study problems and ensure corrective action is taking.
- →You will determine and provide resolution of operational and maintenance problems with shipyard personnel.
- →You will initiate and attend meetings concerning work status and maintain liaison with key management personnel in all shipyard departments.
