About the Role

This position is in the Knowledge Management & Audit Support Section of the Program Management Office (PMO), which is managed through within the Veteran and Family Member Program (VFMP) office. The VFMP is managed through the Office of Integrated Veteran Care (OIVC). This position will report to the Program Management Officer in the PMO. The primary function of the incumbent is to supervise Program Analysts in the areas of Knowledge Management, Risk Management and Audit Support.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the overall management in the coordination of initiatives such as, Knowledge Management, Risk Management and Audit support.
  • Provides oversight, identification, and reporting of the current and projected future state of the programs to ensure the VFMP meets its goals and objectives and has the necessary resources to meet these accomplishments.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and directing the full scope of operations within VFMP.
  • Delegates responsibility for determining the organizational structure, expenditures, and programming requirements for the directorate.
  • Assists in providing personnel management for VFMP, PMO and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for selections, disciplinary actions, employee training, staff development, and other personnel actions.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to VFMP Knowledge Management, Risk Management and Audit Support.
  • Develops performance standards and monitors employee performance based on standards.
  • Completes performance appraisals for the Knowledge Management, Risk Management and Audit Support program employees in accordance with VFMP guidelines.
  • Implements corrective actions and sends recommendations to Human Resources for those who are not in compliance with their standards.
  • Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
  • Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
  • Work Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: May be available at management's discretion.
  • Telework: Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
