About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at U.S. Cyber Command J1, Fort Meade, Maryland.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as Deputy Chief of Staff (D/CoS) for the Director and Deputy Director.
- →Facilitates efforts of competency managers to design and validate requirements for and allocate available assets to address the mission and achieve the organizations/Commanders primary program objectives.
- →Advises the CoS on strategic planning, policy issues, management of key organizational relationships and mission requirements.
- →Provides insights on the progress of cyberspace operations initiatives to managers of technical/functional SMEs.
- →Ensures that unique processes, methods, and tools are documented in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and that new team members are in-briefed.
- →Establishes and directs implementation of the organizations processes and policies for the effective administration of all resources and programs.
- →Translates organizational decisions on operations support issues and functions into effective action plans.
- →Performs the full range of Supervisory duties.
- →Coordinates the efforts of the support team with those of other Command elements, as well as with external program partners to effectively plan and conduct cyberspace operations.
