About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Chief Technology Office, located in Ashburn, VA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for supervising a subordinate staff, and performing studies of processes and planning the organizational effectiveness in various assigned functional areas.
  • This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).

  • Typical duties include: Assigning work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs.
  • Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a division and/or branch within CBP overseeing various acquisition and procurement related functions.
  • Serving as the principal advisor when representing CBP at meetings and conferences as directed by the supervisor.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring automated systems that focus on long- and short-range acquisition plans, policies and programs based on goals, objectives and priorities established by acquisition program offices.
  • Providing technical assistance and direct support to management staff in all matters relating to acquisition and procurement function to meet mission requirements.
