As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will oversee human resource management programs, analyze workforce needs, and collaborate with directorate leadership to resolve complex human resource issues and ensure compliance with agency priorities and federal regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Directs and oversees subordinate supervisors responsible for all human resources activities, including recruitment, position and performance management, employee development, and workforce planning.
  • Advises Division leadership on workforce trends, succession planning, and HR implications of organizational change, while providing technical guidance on position management and organizational design proposals to ensure alignment with the mission.
  • Develops and communicates branch visions, priorities, and performance goals, and evaluates subordinate performance while serving as the rating and reviewing official and identifying training needs to meet performance objectives.
  • Participates in working groups to develop administrative and policy guidance, including Management Directives and Memorandums of Agreement/Understanding relevant to HR and training programs agency-wide, and recommends long-range program plans.
  • Analyzes HR metrics to identify systemic issues and recommend data-driven solutions, while directing the development and use of dashboards and reports to monitor HR performance and inform decision-making.

  • Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
  • Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
  • Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
  • Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position.
  • You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
  • EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
  • FDNS systematically identifies updates, and records indicators of fraudulent activities; manages fraud cases; identifies vulnerabilities and other weaknesses that compromise the integrity of the legal immigration system; and coordinates and provides logistical support in law enforcement and national security matters.
  • FDNS is the primary conduit for information sharing and collaboration with law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
  • Training: The selectee will be required to attend and pass a supervisory training course as required by the agency (if not previously attended).
  • Failure to attend or pass the supervisory course will be grounds for mandatory removal from the position.
