About the Role
About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist over a group of logistics specialists providing functional staff oversight and integration of multiple logistics functions. As the Deputy Director the incumbent is delegated complete authority and responsibility to independently plan, schedule, and carry out major projects concerned with the analysis and evaluation of programs or organizational effectiveness.
What You'll Do
- →Exercises personnel management responsibilities through direct supervision of military and /or civilian personnel and oversight of contractor personnel.
- →Performs multi-functional logistics planning, manning, and resource management reviews to support reporting requirements.
- →Routinely participates in and/or chairs logistics meetings, operational planning meetings, teleconferences, and video teleconferences (VTCs) Provides fiscal oversight of the directorate’s budget and participates in command Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC) meetings.
- →Makes recommendations for reallocation of resources to support command directives.
- →Gives advice, counsel or instruction to individual employees on both work and administrative matters.
- →Establishes performance objectives and evaluates performance of subordinates.
- →Identify needs and makes provision for training and development of subordinates.
- →Reviews and recommends approval of Army Civilian Training, Education and Development applications (ACTEDS).
