What You'll Do
- →Approve multi year and longer range work plans developed by the supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.
- →Oversee the revision of long range plans, goals and objectives for the work directed.
- →Manage the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.
- →Manage organizational changes throughout the organization directed or major change to the structure and content of the program or program segments directed.
- →Exercise discretionary authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in the organizations budget.
- →The following are the job specific duties of this position.
- →You will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
- →Oversees personnel, operations, and strategic coordination within the Office of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs.
- →Directs legislative liaison activities involving Congressional committees, Member offices, Treasury, external stakeholders, and IRS operating divisions.
- →Provides executive oversight for Congressional engagement activities, including hearing preparation, Questions for the Record (QFRs), briefing books, testimony coordination, technical assistance, and responses to Congressional inquiries.
- →Oversees Executive Secretariat operations, including executive correspondence, action tracking, briefing coordination, controlled communications, leadership clearances, and executive task management.
- →Coordinates Service-wide legislative strategy and serves as a principal liaison among Treasury, Congressional committees, IRS Business Operating Divisions, Executive Secretariat, and the Office of Chief Counsel on legislative and regulatory matters.
Requirements

- ✓Additional guidance and support will be provided during onboarding.
- ✓Supervisory Probationary Period - Subject to a 1-year supervisory or managerial probationary period (unless already completed).
- ✓Key Requirements: U.S Citizenship - Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S.
- ✓Citizenship.
- ✓Selective Service Registration - Males born after December 31,1959, are required to be registered with the Selective Service System or prove they are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Personal Identity Verification (PIV) - Must provide 2 forms of identification from the Form I-9.
- ✓Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
