This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Forensic Sciences, Digital Evidence Laboratory. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Digital Forensic Group Supervisor providing first level supervision to a group of digital forensic examiners.
What You'll Do
- →As a SUPERVISORY IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (DIGITAL EVIDENCE), your typical work assignments may include: Supervises general laboratory activities and analytical work of a group of forensic, clerical or technical employees in the examination and interpretation of digital evidence and related items.
- →Provides technical and administrative guidance and direction concerning examinations and analyses of evidence; develops and ensures implementation of and compliance with safety policies and procedures for the laboratory.
- →Reviews and evaluates laboratory workloads; develops and implements action plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of services; and coordinates laboratory support of field investigations.
- →Performs duties in support of the laboratory quality management system, such as conducting audits, investigating instances of non-conformance, and implementing corrective or preventive action.
- →Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- →Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements.
- →Explains performance expectations to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses.
