This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Cyber Assessment, Verification, Remediation and Reporting (JBC) group of the Office of Cyber Security (JB), Information Technology (J), Chief Operating Office (K). A successful candidate in the Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist position will serve as the supervisor of the Cyber Assessment, Verification, Remediation and Reporting group and a member of the Cyber Security management team.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist, you will: Plan, direct, and evaluate the work of a team of cybersecurity professionals, establishing priorities, developing performance standards, and providing guidance on technical and administrative matters.
- →Direct the full lifecycle of the cybersecurity assessment and authorization (A&A) program for IT systems, including managing security control assessments, continuous monitoring, and the security awareness and training program.
- →Oversee the execution of risk analyses and security assessments to identify system vulnerabilities, assess potential impacts, and recommend countermeasures to mitigate or reduce risk to an acceptable level.
- →Ensure the cybersecurity program adheres to all relevant federal laws, regulations, and agency policies by interpreting guidance, implementing required controls, and reporting on compliance status to leadership and external entities.
- →Serve as a senior technical authority on cybersecurity, advising management on emerging threats, national-level guidance, and long-range strategic planning for IT security programs and policies.
- →Evaluate and provide recommendations on major IT project proposals, interagency initiatives, and innovative technologies to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals and cybersecurity architecture.

- ✓This position has been designated as Critical Sensitive/High Risk and requires a security clearance at the DOE "Q" level; the incumbent will be required to access, process, use, and safeguard classified information.
